These war medals and memorabilia were framed in a stacked combination of mouldings to give the depth required to house the items. A sense of depth is created with a window mount to the glass containing the photos and another aperture revealing the medals and textile badges. I worked closely with the client to create a balanced composition to all the elements.

All elements were hand stitched or attached with methods that are fully reversible. This work was completed to FATG Level 2, Conservation grade.

A personal note from the desk of the PM

This fragile and sentimental bird of prey mobile was carefully stitched to a Conservation grade mountboard and UV99 glass used to prevent further UV damage

The grain and colour of the oak perfectly mirroring those found on the mobile

These collectible Disney stamps were framed in tandem in a neutral rounded ash profile

The frame sizes were kept the same despite the window mount apertures differing in height
